Privacy Policy

Information we collect

You can browse scores, results and stats without an account. If you create one, or use certain features, we collect:

• Account information: your email address and password (stored securely as a hash; we never see it).
• Profile information: your name, an optional profile picture, and the teams, players, leagues and cups you favourite.
• Notification settings: whether notifications are on, and a push token from Apple or Google so we can deliver them.
• Support messages: what you send us through "Report a problem" or email.
• Basic technical information: request logs (which page of our service was requested, when, and whether it succeeded) used to keep the service running and secure. These aren't linked to your account.

Information kept on your device

To work offline and power the home-screen widgets, the app keeps recently viewed scores and your favourite team IDs on your device. This stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage your account, show your favourites, send the notifications you've turned on, respond to support requests, keep the service secure, and improve PoloStat. We don't use your information for advertising and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run PoloStat, who process data only on our behalf:

• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, to deliver push notifications.
• Resend, to send account emails such as verification and password reset codes.
• Our own servers, which host accounts, profiles and game data.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate PoloStat, comply with the law, or protect the service and its users. We keep your information while your account is active, and delete it when you delete your account.

Your choices

• Update your profile, favourites and notification settings in the app at any time.
• Delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete Account. This removes your profile, favourites and profile picture.
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing us.

Children's privacy

PoloStat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
